The lazy days of an Arizona summer are over – time to get ready for Fall events!

The lazy days may be over but not the heat of summer. The calendar says it is almost Fall so I am kicking it off with new work, new events and a new post card!

I traded some time helping my friend Jen Vigil of Maya Art Studio with updating the theme on her website for doing the design/graphic work for a new post card. I so love trading time this way as it was fun working on both projects with her.  And I love the card which also announces several new events that I am doing this fall.

After a 3 year hiatus on doing art festivals as an individual, I was pleased to jury into the 25th Annual Patagonia Fall Festival. I was also asked to enter another juried show this fall, Art Fest at the Omni .  This is all in addition to the events I have participated in for the past two years, the Tucson Fall Open Studio tour  sponsored by TPAC and  in group booths at the Tucson Museum of Art Artisan’s Market. As usual I will finish the season with my holiday open studio in early December.

It’s a challenge but I am trying not to be overwhelmed by taking it one day at a time.

TP--Early-Fall-2013-BackforwebGot a head start by over the summer – taking refuge from the hot Arizona sunshine in my studio so that I could do my first firing of the fall.

Before firing ...

Before firing …

And after

And after

So now its back to the studio to start the cycle again.  In the meantime I will also be adding items from this firing to my Etsy shop. Soon. I promise!
