This was my first time going to NCECA. Much to see, hear and do. I got off to a good start when I arrive in Phoenix on Tuesday by taking the shuttle to the Desert Botanical Garden which had an exhibition by Dale Chihuly, Chihuly: The Nature of Glass. I got there just before sunset and the glass which was installed throughout the gardens was spectacular as the sun set and the glass was lit up as darkness fell.
That evening, I visited the Clayart room at the Wyndham where there was an exhibit from the permanent collection of AMOCA – American Museum of Ceramic Art. As a lover of teapots, I took some pictures of these beauties:
Thanks Terry for sharing these. It is my first glimpse at this year’s NCECA! Also, I am loving this new look. Did you change hosts and?
Thanks for posting these! I have seen the Chihuly exhibits in Pittsburgh and Atlanta, they are spectacular and inspiring. I have a bunch of photos on my Picasa site. Thanks for sharing photos of NCECA, I really want to get there some year!
Tina and Liz – thanks for letting me know you enjoyed this post. I have some more images and will blog a bit more about NCECA when I get a chance.
Liz – Not sure what looks different to you – I haven’t changed hosts. May have made some additions to the widgets. Header cycles through two images – perhaps you got one you had not seen before.
